Rising Ground provides caring support and proven paths to positive change, helping children, adults, and families rise above adversity, and each year, Rising Ground is a positive force in the lives of more than 25,000 individuals. The Anti-Human Trafficking Response Coordinator will address the complex challenges associated with human trafficking, specifically by targeting vulnerable youth. This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of how a social services organization screens and supports young people who are involved or at-risk for involvement in human trafficking. The Coordinator will spearhead efforts to prevent, identify and respond to potential and known survivors of human trafficking. The coordinator will take on a five-prong approach that includes: training and consultation; risk assessment and safety planning; crisis and clinical interventions; mentoring and counseling; and community outreach, workshops, and collaborations. They will work alongside existing Rising Ground programs that provide support to young individuals encompassing girls, transgender youth, non-binary youth, and gender-expansive youth, ages 12 to 21. This unique position will also include opportunities to collaborate with law enforcement to bring about a positive cultural shift. Through this multi-prong approach, we hope to enhance access to support for young people, amplify knowledge within our staff, mitigate the criminalization of young people, and educate the communities of young people at risk for human trafficking.
