The Risk Analyst position is an individual contributor role within our Analytics, Strategy, Data & Solutions (ASDS) team, part of the Financial Crimes Risk Management (FCRM) organization. The team handles the firm’s analytical efforts around Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)/ Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Surveillance, data solutions, projects for the FCRM program, and supporting the next generation of surveillance efforts. This team works closely with teams focused on modeling, model risk, anti-money laundering, enhanced due diligence, compliance, technology, and other areas to ensure a robust, well-coordinated approach to tackling financial crimes.
The Risk Analyst will support team members with data retrievals, reporting, and analytics to help address business challenges. This position requires a candidate with strong analytical, technical, and communication skills as well as someone who is highly reciprocal with a high level of attention to detail.
What you are good at:
Identifying, extracting, cleaning, aggregating, and analyzing data found in disparate data systems using SQL & PythonAbility to analyze large, sophisticated data sets to identify and interpret new trends, patterns and emerging risksProviding analytical support to team members in the enhancement of existing AML scenarios, high-risk customer monitoring and development of new solutions Performing impact analyses to quantify scenario and threshold changesDesigning and maintaining performance monitoring reportsDeveloping presentations to summarize analytical findingsPresenting analyses and recommendations to coworkers, business partners, and managementCollaborating with team members and business partners to understand business challenges and help identify potential solutionsSupporting business partners with testing, implementation, and tracking of BSA/AML solutionsAbility to learn quickly and gain an understanding of AML, red flags, emerging risks, and analytical methodologies used to target money laundering and related illicit activity What you have 2+ years of Data Analytics and/or Business Intelligence experience including developing advanced SQL queries and gathering data from disparate systems such as Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, and/or other databasesStrong analytical skills and hands on experience with analytical tools such as SQL, SAS or PythonAbility to evaluate large quantities of data and extract important insightsStrong creative thinking and sophisticated problem-solving skills to perform research and help identify new solutions used to target and mitigate financial crime riskHighly motivated and goal-oriented demeanorExperience creating reports and presentationsOutstanding attention to detail and confirms the quality and accuracy of the work productProficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office productsGood interpersonal and collaboration skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills and can understand and explain complicated subject matter to other partnersUnderstands the use of statistical applications to help analyze data (a plus)Financial Crime experience (ACAMS/ACFCS Certification is a plus)Knowledge of the brokerage business, financial services, crypto, and/or Schwab (a plus)Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business Analytics, or related quantitative field Options Apply for this jobApplyShareRefer a friendRefer Sorry the Share function is not working properly at this moment.
