Job Description Summary
As a Supervisor / Process Leader of Reconciliation at Alliance Bernstein, you will be responsible for overseeing the reconciliation process between our accounting books and the data provided by custodians, banks, and brokers. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to identify discrepancies in daily cash and asset data. You will work closely with your team to reach out to the relevant parties for correction and resolve any issues in a timely manner.
In addition to managing the day-to-day reconciliation process, you will also be responsible for managing projects from start to finish. This will involve coordinating with various internal teams in technology and operations as well as external counterparts such as custodians, brokers, and administrators. You will need to be able to communicate effectively with these parties to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
As a Process Leader, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of financial data and maintaining the integrity of Alliance Bernstein's accounting books. You will need to be able to work well under pressure and be comfortable making decisions in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, you will need to be able to analyze data and identify trends to help improve the reconciliation process and reduce the likelihood of errors in the future.

Team/Group Description
The AB Reconciliation team is a significant group within AB India, divided into three teams: USPC, USINST, and USMF, as well as an Oversight team IIMO, that supervises the business and maintains relationships with stakeholders. They work closely on new projects and improvements. The team's primary responsibility is to ensure that AB's books are in line with the bank's cash and position by reconciling with over 60 custodians daily. Additionally, the Reconciliation team manages several other tasks and projects to support investment decisions.
Role Description
The AO/Reconciliation Process Lead is a crucial position in our company, responsible for overseeing and governing all daily reconciliation activities. This involves interacting with AB Sales and Portfolio Management teams, auditors, and custodian banks. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage global projects, coordinate with developers, work on BRD, manage and conduct UAT testing of projects, and coordinate all global reconciliation teams.
Applications and business or enterprise functions the role supports
The Portfolio Administration team services a few internal and external applications. Daily the AO Process lead will use reconciliation systems (CTC), Portfolio Management System, Cash flow management tool (Ace Win), Microsoft Office, other internal applications such as EPA, ERP, BOSS, APEX, AB Advantage, etc. Along with external and potentially new applications that include Bloomberg as well as several custodians’ websites. Also, there is use of project development application like JIRA, Smartsheet, Confluence, UAT environment of above-mentioned application to perform testing.

Job Qualifications (The ideal candidate should have the following)
Graduate / Post-graduate degree with 6 years of experience in handling IMO process.
Good knowledge of MS Office applications-especially Excel is must,
Hands on JIRA, Power BI, Confluence, BRD & FRD preparation, SQL is desirable.
Prior experience of Project management will be appreciated.
