Job Summary
We are very excited to welcome a new English Speaking Accounts Payable Associate to our team!The role is based in our Budapest GSS (hybrid model combining office & remote work). You’ll join a team of agile, customer-focused thinkers who collaboratively solve difficult business problems.
The main goal of this role: Handle and process AP invoices for your region and provide support to reach P2P team objectives. Maintain SAP module information.
Oversee end-to-end AP process for your region with handling more complex tasks and exceptions. Create different reports based on need and keep them accurate. Supporting the team with solving more complex tasks.
Your tasks in this role:
Validate, approve and post PO and non-PO invoices Calculate VAT, tax and withholding taxCheck and verify supplier documentation for compliance with country legal & tax requirementsPay vendors by scheduling payment runsRespond to all vendor enquiries regarding finance and manage exceptionsProvide excellent customer service to all stakeholders, including vendors, facilities and colleaguesHandle complex issues escalated from analyst level. Escalate it to coordinator level in case no resolution.Provide support to P2P team objectiveSuggest process improvements where possibleOther duties as ordered by the direct managerCreate and take action on aging and payment-on-time accounts payable reports periodically with special focus on month ends; Ensure the accuracy of the reportsBased on the Q-analysis and priorities, cascade the invoice processing priorities to AnalystsCheck debit balances regularly and ensure payment is received for outstanding creditsPrepare periodic analyses of vendor and PIT accountsEnsure SOX compliance and proper reporting for audit purposesRequirements:
Good command of English both verbal and writtenGood command of Hungarian is a nice to haveAt least 2-3 years of experience in similar field, minimum 1,5 years specifically in Accounts Payables area. College graduate or bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or accounting professional equivalent. Advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft tools. A good understanding of general accounting processes. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and providing high level customer service. Being a team player with a can-do-mentality. Someone who is independent, reliable, adaptable and eager to learn about systems.Benefits:
