Job Title: Accounts Payable Associate Job Description The Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist plays a crucial role in the timely and accurate processing of payables and related compliance. This position involves processing vendor invoices, handling cash disbursements, maintaining the companywide vendor database, and providing coverage during team member absences. The AP Specialist reports to the Controller and works closely with accounting staff, customer service representatives, branch managers, and outside vendors. Responsibilities include identifying and recommending improvements in AP processing. Hard Skills + Timely processing of vendor invoices and credits with cost allocations + Conducting twice-weekly check/ACH payment runs + Identifying problems and recommending improvements in AP processing + Reviewing vendor statements to ensure invoice posting accuracy + Downloading and sorting daily electronic invoices and physical mail + Handling customer invoicing on fulfilled orders + Updating and maintaining the vendor database + Reconciling and distributing company credit card charges + Providing coverage during accounting team member absences Soft Skills + Attention to detail + Problem-solving + Effective communication + Team collaboration Job Type This is a permanent position.
