This manufacturing company seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable/ Payroll Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing, and maintaining financial records in compliance with company policies and regulations.
Qualifications:
2 years of experience in accounts payable and payroll, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Experience using ADP Vantage or other HRIS/Payroll systems
Knowledge of labor and payroll laws
Ability to process invoices and PO's
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented AP/Payroll Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial in managing accounts payable processes and payroll functions to ensure accurate financial records and timely payments. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in accounting and payroll, with experience in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities include:
+ Review and post invoices, ensuring they match purchase orders and receipts.
+ Route non-inventory invoices for approval before posting.
+ Post invoices to the correct GL accounts.
+ Monitor unvouchered payables and received-not-invoiced receipts.
+ Print AP aging report and process payments by check or EFT.
+ Ensure timely weekly payments to vendors.
+ Review vendor statements for accuracy.
+ Reconcile daily bank statements for checks and payments.
+ Reconcile credit card receipts to statements at month-end.
+ Assist with month-end close.
+ Monitor inventory transactions.
+ Resolve invoice posting issues with receiving and purchasing.
+ Send weekly temp timecards to staffing agencies.
+ Collaborate with HR for accurate employee data and payroll records.
+ Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing.
+ Verify meal penalties, fix missed punches, and ensure timely approval of timecards and time off requests.
+ Run, verify, and reconcile reports.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.
