The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for supporting the financial team in completing accounting processes and cycles. Responsibilities ● Full Cycle Accounts Payable● Prepare and process check requests; initiate and prepare weekly check runs● Data entry of various invoices and check requests; receive, date stamp, and review for backup, GL coding and proper approvals● Review and audit expense reports, petty cash, & reimbursements● Review, audit and approve Utility bills uploaded by third party● Maintain vendor records and reconcile vendor inquiries● Process checks, ACH's, record transfers, and credit card payments● Review past due balances and remedy discrepancies where necessary● Match invoices to checks with remittances and responsible for mailing● Sort and distribute incoming mail● Assist with other projects and general accounting tasks as needed Qualifications Required Experience: 2 to 3 years current and related Accounts Payable or Accounting experience required. Required Education/TrainingHigh School Diploma or equivalent 2-3 years recent experience in Accounts Payable or Accounting environment Required Skills and Abilities: ● Excellent time management skills. Must be well organized.● Strong accounting aptitude● Ability to work in multiple systems● Experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office & Google Chrome environment● Ability to problem solve and work independently● Ability to multitask and handle high volume● Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment● Strong work ethic● Effective team player; must demonstrate the ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively Working Conditions: Primarily an Office environment, must be able to work evenings when required to meet deadlines.
