JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the administration and maintenance of specific issues in pay and time impacting transactions into payroll and time systems within the Payroll Dept. This involves analysis, data entry and ensures accuracy of information fed and updated in Payroll. Responsible for applying knowledge of local regulations, laws, and legal standards and services. The position works in tandem with the HR Service Center to ensure payroll is processed appropriately for the organization. May also analyze and administer HR service delivery programs in areas such as case management, data and reporting, compliance, vendor integration and transactional services for employees, managers, former employees, term-vested employees, candidates, and retiree populations. Investigates and resolves daily employee payroll service problems. May advise organizational personnel on payroll practices and procedures. Maintains and validates payroll related data, provides reports and work closely with Stakeholders and or Authorities for any statutory payment and filing related queries.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSITILITIES
Reviews, analyzes, and verifies payroll reports and documents for accuracyMakes necessary adjustments or corrections using established procedures to Immedis Payroll SystemAuthorizes, reviews and/or may enter payroll transactions and related dataCompletes pre / post payroll processing activities based on implemented proceduresMaintain master data and payroll data required for any off-cycle check payments and for any under or overpayment related correctionsActs as subject matter expert and / or resource to others for payroll processing transactionsAnalyzes and responds to complex matters requiring comprehensive knowledge of payroll policies and proceduresResearches and interprets a variety of technical transactions in response to inquiriesRecommends or participates in the development of new procedures and policies related to payroll operationsProactively identifies and researches potential payroll issues and recommends courses of actionPossesses a detailed understanding of payroll operations, systems, and regulatory requirementsAudit and reconcile the payroll in accordance to established SOX and internal controlsProvide customer support to outsourced vendor and employeesReview, audit and troubleshoot challenges as it relates to the garnishment process (internal entry, submissions to agencies and third parties)Support special projects impacting payroll as needed (harmonization, frequency changes etc)EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or other related fields
3-5 year experience in HR or payroll administration; handling various international payrolls highly desirable. Preferably with strong background on Asia Pacific Payrolls
Working knowledge of end-to-end payroll procedures and other pay-impacting processes such as GL reconciliation is strongly preferred
Experience in using / managing one or more of the following systems is strongly preferred:
Service Now
Workday
Cloud Pay
SAP Payroll
UKG
Immedis Payroll
High degree of accuracy, often in time-critical situations; Effective communication skills to work with all levels; Experience in call center or shared services environment
Proficient English language and / or Korean language skills (TOPIK 5 and above certification). Mandarin speakers are welcome to apply as well.
