APAC Projects and Control Manager (Energy & Commodities)

We work as one to achieve our vision of being the world’s most trusted, innovative, liquidity and data solutions specialist.Role Overview:As an APAC E&C Project and Control Manager you are responsible for ensuring the team process trades in an accurate and timely manner, from internal front end trade capture systems, through the trade management systems, and then out to the clients via various delivery mechanisms, following established guidelines, when identifying and resolving problems, and using good judgement to refer more complex issues to senior colleagues, where appropriate.You must be able to identify, suggest and implement process changes that will improve the level of service and control that Operations provides, in its first line of defense capacity. You must have a broad knowledge of the wholesale financial markets and have a wide range of knowledge to cover Energy & Commodity products. You must have a strong understanding of the Operations, Global Broking strategy, and work collaboratively, as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.Role Responsibilities:Ensure commercial focus and work in partnership with the business both on a regional and global level to deliver excellent service and support to clients, both internal and external.Work with Global operations to build a close and effective working relationship to support change delivery, identification of robust controls and process improvements.Help drive strategic change and delivery both at a regional and global level to ensure that the department moves towards the target operating model.Ownership of the build out, ongoing maintenance and enhancements of E&C’s global management information tool.Regional ownership of the Duco implementation for E&C Asia. In partnership with London and Louisville, helping to drive change in E&C’s reconciliation & control environment.Owner and chair of the CEO Asia’s Project Delivery Forum.Identify and drive opportunities where Technology can enhance and add to the services the Group provides to our clients.Working with relevant policy owners and control functions, ensure that appropriate policies process, systems and controls are in place for Operations across E&C.Participate in the Asia Control Attestation process.Identify and implement process changes that may make the team more efficient or provide a more robust control environment.Engage with internal and external control and audit functions as appropriate, including, but not limited to Internal and External Audit.Experience / Competencies:Strong understanding of the Energy & Commodity Markets and ability to educate the team where appropriate.Show sound judgement, understanding when to escalate.Act with integrity at all times.Strong personal organizational skills, whilst working collaboratively as part of a team.Show a desire and aptitude to learn and develop.Have excellent written and oral communication skills.Be service orientated, adaptable, and resilient.Be results orientated with personal accountability.Have excellent attention to detail, quality, and control.Understand the implications of being the “First Line of Defense” within the business.Excellent relationship building skills both internally and externally.Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio etc.)Experience in PowerBIExperience in DucoEffectively manage the expectation of our clients.Job Band and Level: Manager, 6
