Job Description:
Represent the Internal Controls (IC) Department for internal and external stakeholders in the region. Coordinate Regional IC Committee preparations with IC Central team & Regional representatives.
Lead Internal Controls implementation and drive continuous improvements for the first line of defence, and supporting the second line testing (FIT-Check) across all divisions in the region.
Oversee the APAC Know Your Customer (KYC) activities for all subsidiaries (excluding Australia & New Zealand, Airbus Defence and Space (ADS) branches, SATAIR & Testia).
Primary Responsibilities
Act as the representative of the IC Department for internal and external stakeholders at regional level.
Ensure effective communication within the region regarding IC yearly campaign, cascade the central planning and coordinate at regional level.
Collaborate with IC central team & regional representatives (across all functions) to prepare the Regional IC Committee (ICC) for Internal Control reporting on bi-annual basis.
Support all entities during Internal Controls Self Assessment (ICSA) campaign and ensure timely completion by each entity in the Region.
Analyse ICSA campaign & quarterly deficiency tracking data and prepare the regional updates to the management on quarterly basis.
Drive process standardization, harmonization and continuous improvement by sharing IC best practices within the region; co-ordinate with operational stakeholders to enhance the robustness of the first line of defence.
Raise awareness and support entities in understanding of the expected key controls and the added value of IC from a regulatory and an operational efficiency perspective.
Assess associated risks of any new changes (e.g. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) migration, turnover in key roles) that may impact IC stability for the concerned entities, proposing action plan and support (e.g. process evolution, newcomer onboarding training) for effective recovery.
Alert the IC Central Team in the event that any major gaps or deviations are identified.
Ensure proper implementation and monitoring of any actions or recommendations from self assessment (ICSA), second & third line testing (FIT-Checks & Corporate Audits) as well as from external authorities ((ASEAN Federation of Accountants) AFA, Group external auditors, etc.). Ensure the actions are performed on time: send reminders, and track follow-up.
Support documentations of Internal Financial Controls (i.e. One Finance Guidelines) in the Region, ensuring timely updates as necessary.
Ensure tracking of roadmaps, deadlines and interdependencies of the various projects and activities (i.e. Finance Compliance Roadmap, System Control & Payment Factory Deployment Roadmap etc) for Finance function.
Lead APAC KYC team and oversee the APAC Know Your Customer activities for all subsidiaries, including KYC assessments on any new contracts / customer / aircraft deliveries, alert management and providing regional training etc.

Act as the Finance Ethics & Compliance representative for the Region
Monitor open alerts from automated system control at regional level
Assist in mitigating and managing risks / incidents and track delivery of corrective actions
Other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Professional skills
Bachelor's degree in Finance/ Accountancy or related
Minimum 7-10 years of experience in Audit/Finance
Solid understanding of compliance and internal control concepts with the ability to evaluate and determine the adequacy of controls by considering global legal / compliance risks.
Previous experience from an Audit or Internal Control function with strong system knowledge from previous experience would be an advantage
Excellent communication skills to support the promotion of Internal Controls and Compliance
Able to drive implementation / standardisation / alignment in a complex corporate environment.
Able to follow pragmatic and adaptive approaches and keep balance between process compliance and operational activities.
Able to travel internationally
