As an Associate in the APAC Risk Regulatory Management team, you will be primarily responsible for maintaining and implementing the APAC Risk Regulatory Management Framework which guides the fulfilment of regulatory engagements impacting APAC Risk Organization. This involves monitoring, reporting and escalating risk-related regulatory engagements and changes. Additionally, you will generate theme-based and other relevant analytics to support strategic planning and decision-making. You will report to the APAC Risk Regulatory Management team lead and work closely with the Legal Entity Risk Team and the Risk Control Management team within the APAC Chief Risk Office team.
Job responsibilities
Lead the production of comprehensive regulatory management information packs related to all risk regulatory activities Partner with risk functions to address regulatory engagements, requests, and ad-hoc queries effectively Track, monitor, and report on regulatory exams, engagements, developments, and implementation Collaborate closely with the global risk regulatory management team and risk stripes to discuss approaches for specific regulatory requests to promote global consistency and best practices Provide insights on observed trends in regulatory activities across APAC and other regions Identify opportunities and assist in the development, enhancement, and ongoing maintenance of Risk Regulatory Management tools and frameworks Support projects using innovative solutions and intelligent tools (e.g., dashboards, Large Language Models, Natural Language Processing)Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management or related discipline At least 3 years of experience in risk management, compliance, finance, or control management within the financial services industry Ability to effectively manage and engage with different stakeholders with good communication skills Proven ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines A self-starter who is keen to acquire new skills necessary for effective performance Keen attention to detail, inquisitive and proactive in identifying problems and solutionsPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Familiarity with regulatory exams and engagements, and/or understanding of laws & regulations in Asia Pacific Proficient in verbal and written Mandarin to effectively cover China regulatory requirements Knowledge of Artificial intelligence and data visualization tools (such as Alteryx, Tableau)
