Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to develop an effective regional sales strategy within the Emergency Lighting market scope and maintain it, to improve ABB’s market penetration and realize growth aspirations. Each day, you will define, plan, lead, and ensure the execution of sales strategy to achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets for products, systems, and/or services to ensure sustainable order growth, revenue, profitability, market share, sales productivity, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by leading, developing, and coaching the Sales organization (other sales managers and sales specialists within scope) to achieve the sales targets, through high performance.The work model for the role is: hybrid #LI-Hybrid our office is located in Moorebank, NSW.This role is contributing to the Emergency Lighting business in Australia and New Zealand. Main stakeholders are Product Marketing, Regional Sales Organization, Master Distributors, R&D and Manufacturing.You will be mainly accountable for:•Driving Sales Performance: Define and track sales targets, monitor progress, and take corrective actions to close performance gaps.•Exploring Market Opportunities: Evaluate and prioritize new business opportunities, ensuring resources are effectively allocated to maximize impact.•Leading Contract Negotiations: Participate in high-level contract negotiations, ensuring market pricing levels are met or exceeded.•Building and Leading Teams: Lead, coach, and mentor the regional sales team to ensure high performance, while continuously developing the team's skills and capabilities.•Customer Engagement: Champion a customer-first approach, ensuring swift issue resolution and coordinating across functions to enhance customer satisfaction.•Sales Process Improvement: Develop and review sales processes and tools, implementing improvements to drive continuous growth and operational excellence.Our team dynamics:You will join an agile team, where you will be able to thrive by collaborating closely with our manufacturing and R&D teams in China, as well as the product management and sales teams in Australia and New Zealand, to align product offerings with market requirements and drive customer-focused campaigns across diverse APAC markets.
Qualifications for the roleYou enjoy working with sales strategies, performance metrics, and customer engagement tools in the Emergency Lighting market.Highly adept in contract negotiation, pricing strategies, and business development.You are passionate about team leadership, customer-centric practices, and cross-functional collaboration.Proven experience of sales management in a technical or industrial setting.You are at ease communicating in English.
