Zebra Technologies Asia Pacific is seeking a Manufacturing Strategic Business Development Manager to join the APAC Strategy and Business Development Team. The Manufacturing Strategic Business Development Manager will partner with regional sales leads and sales teams to deepen Zebra’s engagement and accelerate growth in the manufacturing vertical by providing industry expertise and actionable insights based on external and internal data analysis.


Responsibilities:
Provide a consultative sales capability centered around customer visits, assessments, and executive briefings for targeted manufacturing accounts to improve win rate and identify up-sell/cross-sell opportunitiesBe the subject matter expert (SME) and trusted advisor for manufacturing industry information and advice for the sales teams and customers in APACLead and execute an actionable strategic growth plan for the manufacturing vertical across APAC which considers sub-regional nuances. The data-driven plan should draw on market trends and insights and outline activities requiredMaintain relationships with regional manufacturing channel leaders, including hardware and software reselling partners and key influencersKeep up to date with manufacturing trends and developmentsBe an evangelist, internally and externally, successfully positioning Zebra as a thought leader in the industry, and represent Zebra in regional events as neededProvide inputs to the Regional Product Management team to guide product developmentCarry out other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university Preferably 5-10 years of relevant work experience with subject matter expertise in the manufacturing industry (i.e. trends, workflows/processes, pain points); work experience in the manufacturing industry is a plusStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage internal and external stakeholders; client-facing experience is a plusSelf-starter with strong problem-solving skillsSharp negotiation and networking skillsEffective presentation and communication skillsFluency in English; fluency in Chinese (written and spoken) will be an added advantage given the role's APAC market coverage requiring communication with customers in China who may not be proficient in English Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including PowerPoint, Excel & Word)Travel required on a business-need basis
