As a private partnership, we believe our ownership structure fosters a long-term view that aligns our perspectives with those of our clients. **About the Role** **The Global Trading Team** The Global Trading team is a fast-paced collaborative comprised of the Traders, Trade Coordinators, Trade Operations Analysts and more. Impactful decisions are made on a daily basis to help exceed our clients’ expectations. The team works collaboratively with the Portfolio Management, Research and Information Technology teams to ensure our executed trading strategies are in line with our clients’ and firm’s strategic goals. The trading team also interfaces externally with the broker/dealer community as well as the custodians to ascertain market opportunities on behalf of our clients. **The Position** We are seeking a candidate to join our APAC Trade Coordination and Operations team within the APAC Global Trading department. The successful candidate, located in Hong Kong, will provide support to the APAC trading desk. In this role, you will acquire knowledge of the entire trading process from execution through settlement. **The internship will take place from** **June/July 2025 to December 2025** **.** **Responsibilities** The intern will be responsible for the following but not limited to: ·Confirm trade details after execution and resolve any discrepancies with dealers on a timely basis ·Liaise with dealers to obtain trade confirmations for sensitive clients ·Ensure all trades are executed within Compliance and regulatory requirements ·Assist in the syndication process (e.g. IPO, offerings, placements, new issues) ·Liaise with various internal parties, including the client teams, on any trading related queries and issues ·Assist in broker onboarding process in APAC markets ·Monitor the FX settlement for Japanese clients ·Assist the trade coordinators on any ad hoc matters **Qualifications** The successful candidates are likely to: ·Be studying towards a Bachelor’s degree. ·Have a consistent track record of academic and extra-curricular achievement. ·Have the ability to be a strategic thinker, self-starter, humility and the willingness to learn from and collaborate with colleagues. ·Have the ability to work independently, in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment, where priorities change frequently. ·Have the ability to solve problems as and when they arise with minimal supervision / guidance. ·Have the ability to multi-tasks under time pressure. ·Have strong systems skills, specifically in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and preferably Excel VBA. ·Ability to ask questions, challenge and pro-actively suggest improvements to the process. ·Strong written and verbal communication skills. ·Fluency in Asian language skills are advantageous. ·Preference will be on students who have completed at least 1 co-op placement. ·Students must have Hong Kong work authorization to be considered for the role.
