The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining APIs that support our applications and services. This role requires strong technical skills, a deep understanding of .NET technologies, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. SKILLS/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED + 7+ Experience in design, develop, and deploy APIs using .NET Core/.NET Framework and other Microsoft technologies, Azure(APIM), SQL Server, and Entity Framework. + Ensure that APIs are robust, scalable, and secure, following best practices for design and implementation. + Develop and maintain RESTful services and integrate with various third-party systems and applications. + Work closely with front-end developers, DevOps engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of APIs within the broader system architecture. + Collaborate with business analysts and product owners to translate business requirements into technical specifications. + Create and maintain comprehensive API documentation (Swagger/Open API Specs/Postman), including endpoint descriptions, usage guidelines, and versioning details. + Ensure that documentation is updated with any changes and versioned properly for API Specs. + Optimize APIs for performance and scalability, ensuring they can handle high traffic and large data volumes. + Implement caching strategies, database indexing, and other techniques to enhance API performance. + Implement security best practices, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and validation of API inputs. + Ensure that APIs comply with relevant data protection regulations and security standards. + Understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform.
