Short Description

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Director of Surgical Services Institute (SSI) will have direct oversight of the Lead APPs in SSI. The Director will have advanced leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to foster professional development, consensus, and engagement with various individuals and groups. The Director will be responsible to evaluate the quality and effectiveness of clinical practice and organizational systems to drive process improvement and positive outcomes across the care continuum. This role will support the Cooper Experience, access initiatives, team member engagement, education and quality outcomes for the organization.

Serve as key resource to executive leadership for APP deployment strategy planning and execution in SSI Responsible for clinical competency and quality of care provided by APP in SSI Work in collaboration with SSI leadership to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery of high-quality care including operationalizing access and throughput initiatives across the care continuum    Collaborate with preadmission testing area (PAT) leadership to improve workflow & experience for surgeons & patients including supervision of PAT APPs & oversight of APP schedules in PAT Coordinate & collaborate where appropriate the continuing education for RNs, LPNs and MAs and encourage staff to utilize resources to meet identified learning needs Experience Required

6-10 years of experience in leadership as an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant).

Education Requirements

MSN or DNP in Nurse Practitioner or MS in Physician Assistant is required.

License/Certification Requirements

NJ Advanced Practice Nurse or NJ Physician Assistant License is required. National board certification.

Special Requirements

Scheduled Days / Hours: Monday - Friday; full time
