Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP)
Lahey Hospital and Medical Center
Neurosurgery
Join the Department of Neurosurgery at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, one of Massachusetts’s premier Health Care Organizations, as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in our expanding academic practice in Neurosurgery.
Details:
Provide inpatient care in a practice that emphasizes clinical excellence.
Opportunity to interact with attending neurosurgeons, residents and nurses in a supportive and caring environment. Our department is dedicated to clinical expertise, education, and research, in a cooperative and compassionate environment.
We are part of a comprehensive Neuroscience Center, which includes Neurology, Neurocritical Care, Neurosurgery, Radiology, and Interventional Neuroradiology.
Experience:
Direct patient care in an inpatient setting
NP/PA experience preferable
Previous experience in Neurosurgery preferable
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including clinical documentation
Ability to perform in a fast-pace clinical setting
Ability to function clinically both as an autonomous provider and as a member of an interdisciplinary team
Able to work with confidential information, clinical recordkeeping and use computer applications such as Epic and Microsoft
Licensure, Certification, Registration:
Current licensure as an advanced practice provider in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
Certification as a Nurse Practitioner; Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification preferred.
Certification as a Physician Assistant.
Prescriptive authority for controlled substances in Massachusetts and DEA registration for controlled substances.
Education
Master’s or Doctoral Degree in nursing or physician assistant studies
