Wicehtowak Frontec Services is seeking an Appliance Technician to join our team in Jansen, SK. The Appliance Technician is responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing of the commercial kitchen and lodge appliances.
Where We Work and Live:
The Jansen discovery Lodge is a workforce housing facility in support of the potash mine. The camp is located 155 kilometers east of Saskatoon, SK.
Our positions work on a 14 day on, 14 days off rotation. Accommodations and meals during your work rotations are provided by the company.
Responsibilities:
Perform daily site inspections, preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with O&M manuals and job plans on major electrical or gas appliances, such as commercial dishwashing equipment, stoves, laundry equipment and refrigerators Replace components and subcomponents and reassemble appliance using hand tools and soldering and brazing equipment Consult customer/user or refer to work order to establish nature of the appliance malfunction and diagnose faults by checking controls, condensers, timer sequences, fans and other components using test equipment such as meters and gauges to measure resistance, current, voltage, pressure, temperature, flue gases and flow rates Refer to schematic diagrams or product manuals for servicing, maintaining, disassembling, and assembling of appliance using hand tools, shop equipment, and specialized diagnostic and programming apparatus Provide a report to the Maintenance Supervisor noting any problems found. These reports can be verbal or written in the respective area of the CMMS (ServiceMax) Ensure all operations meet and comply customer regulations, corporate as well as federal and provincial health and safety legislations, and corporate policies and regulations Other duties as assignedQualifications:
Journeyperson Certified Appliance Technician Certified training courses from major appliance manufacturers 3-5 years of appliance technician experience General Gas Fitter License Current certificates in Fall Arrest, Confined Space, and Elevated Work Platform Strong verbal and written communication skills Able to read drawings and blueprints Ability to build and work in a team environment is crucial along with a strong commitment to personal and team safety Strong knowledge of safe work practices and procedure typical for maintenance operations Highly experienced with costumer/client/user management in a 24/7 operation with a strong customer focus Abilities to work safely with a wide variety of hand and power tools and materials Basic PC skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Outlook Professional communication skills, oral, and written Effectively solve problemsWe would like to thank everyone for their application; however, only those being considered for an interview will be contacted.
