You Are:
Looking for a self-motivated, hands-on domain expert to join us in an Application Analyst role. In this role, you will be responsible for obtaining and analyzing customer requirements, as well as the design, development, validation, and deployment of enterprise systems to support Manufacturing, Quality, and Order-to-Delivery business units. You will be a key member of the IT Global Quality and Manufacturing team and interface directly with the technology, IT peers, and business teams. As an Applications Analyst, you’ll develop application and technology roadmaps, vendor relationships for existing and new software, enhance functionality and uptime of existing legacy applications, and become subject matter expert in order-to-delivery domain.
The Opportunity:
· Understand the application/feature/component and issues related to the same from Business users to resolve issues and create required SOPs/Runbooks
· Monitor, triage and resolve higher severity issues pertaining to systems/applications/infrastructure tools for end users via phone, chats and/or via email
· Identify the problem patterns and suggest better resolution techniques
· Optimize efficiency, cost and quality by identifying opportunities for automation/process improvements
· Proactively identify issues/defects/flaws in application; take necessary measures to address
This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.
What you need:
· 5+ years of experience with Java / J2EE & SQL server, DB2 environments
· Object Oriented analysis and design
· EJBs, portlets, micro service architecture
· Java Swing GUI, Java FX development
· Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate
· Working experience/Good understanding of JNI (Java Native Interface) and DLLs
· Candidates with Electrical/Electronics background is preferred.
· Knowledge of Oracle, MQ, SQL, Tomcat, IBM Websphere environments
· Web services (SOAP or REST) and JDBC
· JSP, JavaScript
· Familiar with SDLC lifecycle
· Strong verbal and written communication skills Good to have:
· IBM MQ
· Knowledge in Vehicle electronics - 60% support and 40% development
· Experience in the Manufacturing Industry and shopfloor customer handling is a plus.
Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.
Role Location: Texas
Compensation Range: $68,000-$102,000
Our full-time, regular associates are eligible for 401K matching, and vacation accrual and are covered from day 1 for paid sick time, healthcare, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance benefits.
