Application Analyst

Purpose Statement:  Application Analysts provide Customer Service Excellence by helping customers resolve issues in a timely manner while also driving to root cause to prevent recurrence, providing daily “care and feeding” for core applications to ensure availability and performance, providing conceptual design expertise to solutions, owning the application life cycle (patching, upgrades, security updates, etc.), and managing relationships with key third party software suppliers

Key Job Accountabilities:

Follows established change management policy and procedure to research and recommend new technology, test and implement system updates, modifications or deletions.  Works to ensure systems remain healthy and available while delivering flawless execution to common tasks and tactical projects.Partner and collaborate with members of global IT including project management, solution management, infrastructure and Engineering Solutions to deploy low complexity purchased or developed technologies that support business requirements.Ensures user satisfaction by resolving common operational issues regarding areas of expertise or assignment, utilizing Plexus policies and/or procedures.Own and maintain systems, networks, technologies or processes that provide a solution to a business function of Plexus.  The support of low complexity and / or common solutions to ensure the availability, integrity, security and recoverability of Plexus data on a 24 x 7 x 365 basis.  This includes ticket escalation and resolution; patch management and deployment; performance and availability monitoring; resource capacity and management; upgrade execution; system documentation; installation and configuration.Follow policies and procedures that are established to deploy, manage and support systems which provide services to global, regional or local Plexus personnel and/or customer needs.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is preferred.Two (2) years of related experience is required; three (3) or more years of related experience is preferred.An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.

Other Qualifications:  

Packages, object and change management using SDLC methodology.Misc. JDE configurations such as printers, job queues, etc.Security, menu and UDO execution and understanding.Audit and Compliance control test execution and evidence collecting.General JDE maintenance using Server Manager and VDI installation.Maintain the confidentiality of all departments, company and customer information while working safely at all times.The ability to support around the clock monitoring and management and may result in support or activities after normal business hours.

Physical Requirements:  

Professional office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and low noise level. May require prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, using a computer, and other office equipment. Minimal physical activity is generally involved, emphasizing the importance of good posture and ergonomic workplace arrangements.
