Assist in designing, building and testing solutions that may impact multiple modules. Helps coordinate all issues that arise during the project. Serve as a bridge between end users and the Epic Implementation staff. May lead small projects and handle escalated issues within scope of responsibility. Qualifications EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: College degree or equivalent technical training in computer science preferred. Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, and business operations. Minimum two years application support and maintenance experience required. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS: Epic certification in at least 1 Epic module. Independently document and help resolve problems, which may occur in support of batch and on-line environments, if requested by operations with minimal guidance. 2. Uses best practice approaches to track and assess the success of past, current, and future issues and projects. 3. Schedule build for change control processing. Prioritize and helps implement changes to the system. Coordinate software updates and changes. Review and test each new release to evaluate changes for potential impact to responsible applications. 4. Maintain expertise and seek additional knowledge in the support and optimizations of EHR application(s) and how they integrate with other applications. 5. Work with vendor representatives and organization’s business community and end users to ensure the system meets business needs. Respond to vendor’s technical questions. 6. Perform in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with application software and design and implement solutions with minimal guidance. 7. Participate in the creation of relevant and meaningful test scripts for integrated and end-user testing. 8. Populate databases with relevant settings during the initial system build and ongoing maintenance. 9. Propose system enhancements and prepare details of specifications as needed. 10. Ensure that data coming across an interface into their Epic application meets the business need. 11. Develop and document internal procedures to use in conjunction with Epic and other vendor applications and relay to training team. 12. Follow standards for naming and numbering conventions and security classifications when performing system configuration. 13. Follow change control processes and procedures for system modifications. 14. Demonstrates timely, effective and efficient trouble shooting of production software and workflow issues and defines migration plans/steps for successful implementation. 15. Work with report writers to ensure that application has the necessary reports. 16. Able to perform all Analyst I duties and manage multiple tasks independently.
