In this role, you'll work on cutting-edge LED mounters that operate at lightning speeds (over 100 components per second) with unmatched precision. You'll be a key player in the entire development cycle, defining critical application requirements for both current systems and groundbreaking new products.

As a Process Engineer at Kulicke & Soffa you operate in the center of development of our high precision, high speed component mounting machines. You are working in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment and are also closely collaborating with other stakeholders such as: Product Management, Manufacturing and our customers.

 

 

Customer Application Development: Design and develop applications that leverage our advanced hardware, translating customer requirements into functional solutions.Collaboration with R&D Teams: Work closely with engineers and researchers to ensure application compatibility with hardware, providing feedback to enhance design.Prototyping and Testing: Create prototypes to showcase hardware capabilities and conduct rigorous tests to meet performance and reliability standards.Technical Documentation: Write detailed user manuals, technical specifications, and troubleshooting guides to help customers use the applications effectively.Customer Support: Train customers on application usage and provide technical support, including onsite assistance as needed.Knowledge Transfer: Share expertise with colleagues, including field application engineers and customer support engineers.Educational Background: bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Software, or Physics).Relevant Experience: 5+ years in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment, with experience in testing and integrating complex production processes for LED mounters.Hands-On Approach: Proactive, hands-on mentality with strong problem-solving skills.Analytical and Practical: Excellent analytical skills combined with practical troubleshooting abilities.Team Player: Collaborative spirit, enjoying work with diverse stakeholders in a dynamic environment.Customer Focused: Strong motivation to exceed customer expectations.Communication Skills: Fluent in English, with well-developed communication skills; Dutch is a plus.Cultural Awareness: Ability to connect with stakeholders from various cultural backgrounds.Travel Willingness: Willingness to travel worldwide (up to 20%).

The Team

For our System Test Engineering team in Eindhoven, we are looking for an eager and motivated individual that is interested to grow and excel into our domain. The team consists of experienced system test engineers, who carry out a broad range of activities, all of which focus on releasing our component mounters and supporting products with the expected customer quality. The team is part of the System Engineering department and has a dedicated test area supporting these activities.

Within K&S you will be working in an informal and high-tech environment, participating in challenging projects and developing personal growth.
