**CTG is seeking to fill an Application Architect Business Intelligence opening for our client in North Carolina.**
**Location:** Remote
**Duration:** 5 months
**Duties:**
+ Design and implement Business Intelligence (BI) application architectures that align with business requirements and technical specifications.
+ Manage and optimize BI infrastructure, including the SAS 9.x Intelligence platform (preferably SAS 9.4 M8).
+ Oversee the administration and integration of SAS platforms, including the metadata server, application server, web server, and stored process server in a multi-tiered environment.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure BI solutions are integrated with enterprise systems.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues and performance bottlenecks.
+ Develop and implement strategies for data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
+ Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior staff and business intelligence teams.
+ Ensure optimal system performance and recommend hardware or software improvements where necessary.
+ Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in BI architecture and implementation.
**Skills:**
+ Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with SAS Intelligence Platform, including metadata server, application server, web server, and stored process server.
+ Advanced proficiency in SAS Enterprise Guide and SAS Data Integration Studio.
+ Excellent understanding of SAS Metadata Management Console, including server management, user management, and library management.
+ Expertise in Linux/RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) system administration.
+ Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
+ Ability to design scalable and high-performance BI architectures.
+ Familiarity with data warehousing, ETL processes, and data integration best practices.
+ Knowledge of security standards and best practices for data management.
**Experience:**
+ 5+ years of experience as a SAS Administrator, particularly with the SAS 9.x Intelligence platform (SAS 9.4 M8 is preferred).
+ Proven experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining BI architecture solutions in complex environments.
+ In-depth experience with metadata management, application server configurations, and user management within SAS.
+ Advanced skills in system administration and performance tuning in Linux/RedHat Enterprise Linux environments.
+ Experience with BI tools and integration with enterprise data systems.
**Education:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $45 to $55. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefits package is also offered.
