About the Role
Primary job is to be the single point of contact for AIA PH Business Units for any concerns on BAU Operations for the AIA data platform, including all customer critical issues and communications.Roles and Responsibilities:
Manages support team for requests, incidents, problems, minor improvements, and periodic activities required for the data platform
Send planned downtime communications
Report to Head of Data Platform any critical incidents, updates on changes, and any major issues for partner concern.
Performs requirements gathering and analysis of data requirements of applications/business groups from data platform
Assists in the identification of fields in data platform that will address data requirements
Understands the business process and the corresponding information / data flow given the defined business process.
Liaises with other groups within AIA (IT, Operations, CM, Business groups, ARB, etc) in the execution of the project’s activities to support successful project completion
Provides inputs during the creation of conceptual / logical data model
Provides inputs during mapping of data sources to ODS (Operational Data Store) and ADS (Analytical Data Store)
Works with developers during the development process to understand data and business rules to ensure accurate data transformation & consolidation
Conducts internal testing to ensure business requirements are met
Provides inputs in the creation of test plan, test scenarios, test cases
Consolidates test plan inputs from teammates and prepares a consolidated version for review by the Data Architect / Product Owner / Project Manager
Coordinates with End/Business Users during User Acceptance Testing (schedule, scope, users, access, etc) and provides business support during the UAT process (reports issues, bugs, changes, etc)
Provides inputs to the PM in identifying risks, changes in scope, project issues etc.
Facilitates successful Deployment process by ensuring all deployment requirements are complete (across all environments) and raising SNOW tickets
Coordinates with the CM team on deployment schedule and provides inputs to the PM on the planned deployments and any issues, if any, and available workarounds Prepares project/system documentation as prescribed during SDLC process
Performs other duties that may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time
Minimum Job Requirements:
Education: College/University Degree
General Qualifications:
Proven extensive experience in service delivery in application support and project implementation, preferably following the ITIL framework and Agile methodology.
In-depth technical knowledge and affinity with application services and the modern technologies on which they are built on including knowledge on Operational Data Store (ODS), data platforms, or data warehousing.
Innovative, proactive, creative, well-organized, and able to easily adapt to various technologies.
Great interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication skills. Able to lead work with internal partners and vendors.
Willingness and desire to learn new environment and tools and advance your knowledge. Keeps up to data with new research and integrated applications in data science field.
Able to work with loosely defined requirements and exercise analytical skills to clarify questions, share methodology/approach, and build/test solutions.
Understanding of Project Management and Software Development Life Cycle.
Technical Qualifications:
Must understand how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
Background in business analysis, data analysis, and/or project management.
Background on Azure fundamentals is a plus.
Experience working with diverse set of data sources and off-the shelf/enterprise/specific applications.
