What you’ll do:
This Developer role requires the candidate to apply deep technical knowledge of Microsoft SQL tools and PowerBI to build reporting and analytics solutions to our Financial Services businessAssist data engineering teams with complex design and implementation challenges.Understand technical product requirements and the provided technical guidance, to produce detailed technical specification, develop and test applications to those specifications.Collaborate with Solution Architects and technical leads on design, code reviews, address code review recommendations and resolve validation and verification issues on a timely basis.Drive superior quality in technical deliverables, reduce or eliminate design or development defects and ensure a thorough unit testing and comprehensive System Integration Testing.Drives tactical problem solving, demonstrates technical expertise in issue reduction and resolution. Follow guidance with minimal supervision.Consults with team members and other organizations, customer and vendors on complex issues.What you need to bring:
Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology or Computer Applications7 - 12 years of development experience in Microsoft SQL Database, SQL Queries, Procedures, SSRS/SSIS. Additional experience or knowledge of Microsoft PowerBI.Knowledge and Skills:
Must have solid SQL Server database skillsData modelling experience.Strong desire to keep abreast of latest data technology trends.Strong development experience in writing Microsoft SQL, SQL Stored Procedures, Functions, packages and debugging the codeShould be able to tune the slow running jobs or SQLsCollaborate with other IT specialists to rapidly develop and deliver solutions that meet changing business needsWork with data owners to document data mappings and transformations to support effective downstream analytics and alertsMake recommendations and advise on data refresh, optimization of data, data storage, and data integrationAttend various meetings as Subject Matter Expert for ETLShould be able to look at the existing complex mappings to accommodate additional changes or debug the production issuesAdvanced understanding of modern software development methodologies such as AgileNice to have skills on Microsoft Data Fabric and or DataBricks.Additional Skills:
