The Tools and Automation team is responsible for custom software development, unique automation of workflows and purchased tools that continuously manage and monitor our C Spire fiber, wireless, IP, and broadband telecommunications networks.  During this internship you will gain exposure to industry leading equipment from Alcatel Lucent, Nokia, Fujitsu, Calix, Cisco and other telecommunication hardware manufactures.  You will be exposed to the full System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).  Work with a team of seasoned developers to learn and utilize your talents modifying and creating applications.  You will get to work in a full dot net environment using HTML, JavaScript, Java, C#, JSP, ASP.Net, AJAX, JSON, Bootstrap) as well as databases like Microsoft SQL, and Oracle.

Qualifications REQUIREDMust be actively enrolled and in good standing at an accredited college or university.Must have successfully completed at least 12 credit hours in computer technology.A strong interest in networking, infrastructure, software development or a related field.Must have completed programming class using a language like C, C#, Visual Basic, Java, or Python. Must have housing in metro Jackson MS area.Must be at least 18 years of age.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Interns must be able to adapt and perform in a rapidly changing work environment. Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and/or mouse while viewing computer screen.
