This position will be a member of Information Technology organization, reporting to an IT team leader. The incumbent will deliver software solutions to the customer in support of business needs. Typical activity could include but not limited to: adding new software feature functionality, identifying and fixing software flaws, generating unit tests, writing functional tests, performing upgrades, migrating data, applying 3rd party software patches, delivering service requests and providing incident coverage. The incumbent will also provide early life cycle support during upgrades and beta releases on production servers.
Job Requirements:
Development of software systems to support key business functions for R&D, testing systems, engineering and manufacturing platforms. Coordinates, plans and executes software deployments to production, test and development platforms using documented procedures and tests. Monitors production systems for loss of service, addresses performance issues and communicates to users of the software for continuous feedback. Uses proper design patterns within software application code, continually refactoring as necessary. Develops unit tests to support production code using test driven development techniques Work with internal customers to understand and respond to needs. Educate associates on company resources and how they can add value. Troubleshoot basic problems reported by internal customers, systems, or team members; escalating to upper level associates appropriate. Participates as a team member on medium/large projects. Ability to manage small projects. Identifies problems due to recurring incidents. Participates with senior level team members in troubleshooting intermediate problems which may span functional areas. Participate in an Emergency On-Call Rotation for after-hours and weekend support. Flexible schedules and 24X7 support availability (generally scheduled in advance) may be required as necessary to support the technical needs of our internal customers
Job Qualifications:
