Application Development Engineer
What We Are Looking For The 3D Systems site in Littleton, Colorado is seeking an Intermediate Application Development Engineer to join their AIG Team to accelerate innovative additive manufacturing solutions while ensuring compliance with ISO 13485, ISO 9001, AS9100, and various regulatory requirements including FDA, FAA, and QSR standards. As a central point of contact for customer projects, you'll collaborate with program management, manufacturing, quality, and application engineering colleagues worldwide while shepherding projects from conception through the entire application development lifecycle. Your technical knowledge and expertise will be essential in assessing customer requirements, defining project management approaches, and delivering projects on time and within budget. What You Will Do Execute Application Development Engineering Processes: * Remain current and proficient with US and international medical device and aerospace regulations * Execute product realization and project management processes to deliver innovation quickly and with excellent quality * Understand and use design Controls and product development processes to ensure compliance * Support sales meetings from a technical point of view and support trade shows * Develop and maintain product development and design transfer procedures Application Development Engineering: * Manage individual portfolio of active and pipeline development projects * Participate in customer project meetings and lead efforts to translate requirements * Collaborate with quality engineers, manufacturing engineers and customer engineering teams * Follow internal procedures for product development through to design transfer * Develop documentation for manufacturing using industry standards and best practices * Participate in the transfer of new projects into Manufacturing * Report progress and status of projects to the Director of Application Development Engineering What You Will Bring * Bachelor’s degree in an engineering-related field required. * 2-4 years of engineering related experience in regulated, cGMP environment such as medical device, aerospace, pharmaceutical or food manufacture * Quality assurance and reliability experience supporting product development and/or manufacturing * Experience in a highly regulated environment such as aerospace (AS9100) or medical device (ISO 13485) * Ability to read and design engineering specifications across a number of products and materials * Ability to analyze and develop engineering processes for advanced technology implementations * Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, anticipating their needs and consistently delivering solutions that exceed expectations while effectively managing challenging interactions * Polished professional communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, prepare and deliver effective presentations, and facilitate productive cross-functional meetings * Advanced proficiency with industry-standard software including CAD programs, project management tools, and Microsoft Office suite, with the ability to quickly learn new applications and optimize workflows * Ability to travel both domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time Applications accepted online through May 1, 2025 #LI-MP1 **Title:** *Application Development Engineer* **Location:** *CO-Littleton* **Requisition ID:** *2500004J*
