Job Title: Application Development Engineer - Personal Care Summary:Responsible for technical support, new application development and technical marketing directed at the Beauty & Personal Care market in SEA & ANZ to drive business growth. Responsibilities Include: 1. Support to Marketing, Sales, and Technology + Work closely with marketing, sales, technology and the supporting functions to identify new business opportunities to drive growth for PC business. + Active participation in the calls and meetings, response on Momentive colleagues request for some formulation request + Create and share the information internally: new presentations, marketing concepts, products promotional ideas as well as lab work findings, new benefits and performance of Momentive or competitive products. + Develop the relations with other suppliers to be aware of new raw materials coming to the market to be able to develop modern and trendy formulations, also to have the access for the raw materials samples from other suppliers + Join global ADEs meeting forum to understand on formulations development education, discussion on customers’ issues, raw materials promotion ideas creation and etc. 2. NPIs/NPCs work + Support of new product introductions by adapting the formulation development, identification of new applications. + Good understanding of current trends. Able to bring new needs to support new product development program 3. Laboratory work and Formulations development + Develop prototype formulations which address market and customer needs. Support new product launches with prototype formulations which showcase the performance of the new product. + Good understanding of competitive technologies, ability to propose alternatives to existing competitive grades + Localize the formulations to match with available ingredients and regional customer needs + Maintain and promote a safe laboratory environment in accordance with applicable quality standards. 4. Customers and Distributors support + Provide customer support related to the use and claim substantiation of new and existing products by working with senior ADE team. Clear understanding of Products in Development benefits and proposed applications. Follow up on customer project and proactive communication to management. + Arrange the formulation trainings for customers and distributors. 5. Pro-active marketing activities + Be an active participant of exhibitions/seminars/other events + Coordinate and support seminars in the regions. + Support samples preparations and coordination of the marketing events in the regions. + Provide the marketing tools e.g social media information, VDO presentation for the lab formulations and results. Qualifications: The following are required for the role + 1-5 years of experience in Beauty & Personal care business or related field + Demonstrated skill in formulation of Personal Care products focusing on Hair care performance evaluation, Sun and Color cosmetics. Familiarity with the use and application of common cosmetics raw materials. + Demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously and work in a cross-functional team environment with strong customer focus. + Excellent oral and written communication skills. + Self-motivated individual with high level of creativity, technical curiosity, and strong team spirit. + Bachelor’s degree holder subjects in Chemical, Biochemical, Cosmetics, etc. + Fluent in English both in written and spoken. + Willingness to travel, join t-con with folks around the world. + Experience with the MNC company related to Beauty & Personal care business What We Offer: At Momentive, we value your well-being and offer competitive total rewards and development programs.
