Job Summary:
The Application Engineer for Pressure and Fluid Control provides technical expertise, support, and solutions for Southeast Asia and Taiwan’s pressure and fluid control products. This role involves working closely with sales, product development, and customer support teams to understand client needs, develop tailored solutions, and ensure successful product applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge in pressure and fluid control systems and experienced in providing technical support and application engineering, review and evaluate customer needs, prepare specifications, and recommend design modifications. The incumbent will be responsible for product customizations to extend product capability to new applications and assist in evaluating performance and market suitability of new product designs and competitive products.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Technical Support & Solution Development: Provide expert technical support, assisting customers in selecting, configuring, and resolving systems. Develop custom solutions and application recommendations based on clients’ operational requirements and specifications. Collaborate with sales teams to identify customer needs, clarify technical requirements, and present product solutions that meet these needs.Application Engineering & Product Expertise: Serve as a domain expert, providing insights into product features, functionality, and applications. Conduct field visits to understand client challenges, perform site assessments, and ensure efficient product integration. Prepare technical user documentation, such as product datasheets, manuals, and installation guides. Conduct evaluation testing on product designs to resolve conformance to the product definition and customer needs. Works in conjunction with Design Engineering and Marketing. Assists in the development of new product ideas and appropriate specifications.
Customer Training & Support: Conduct training sessions, workshops, and demonstrations for customers, ensuring they are confident in the operation and maintenance of products. Develop training materials tailored to the specific needs of the Southeast Asian and Taiwanese markets. Support customers in resolving technical issues, either remotely or on-site as needed.
Project Management & Implementation: Support project implementations from the initial planning phase through to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and meet all technical specifications. Collaborate with internal teams, such as project management, R&D, and product management, to align on timelines and results for customer projects.
Market Feedback & Product Development: Gather feedback from customers and industry insights to relay to product development teams, aiding in future product improvements and innovations. Stay informed on industry trends, competitors, and technology advancements in pressure and fluid control to support proactive product recommendations.
Multi-functional Collaboration: Work with sales, marketing, and engineering teams to support business growth and promote product offerings in the region. Coordinate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure the timely availability of products for customer projects.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for pressure and fluid control in Southeast Asia and Taiwan is a plus. Prefer to have a solid understanding of the application of control system hardware, including valves, regulators, filters, pressure and flow measurement instrumentation, process controllers and PCs used in industrial applications, and hydraulic and pneumatic control system dynamics.
