Participates in the entire software development lifecycle, with a primary focus on evergreen support of existing software solutions requiring significant knowledge of enabled business domain, workflows and processes.
Chevron’s Business Support Center (BASSC), located in Buenos Aires is accepting applications for the position of Application Engineer. Successful candidates will join the IT Organization which is part of a multifunction service center with a workforce of more than 1500 employees that deliver business services and solutions to the corporation across the globe.
This position plays an active role in the software development lifecycle with a primary focus on maintaining vendor software, optimizing evergreen support (through configuration, automation, and integration) and supporting in-house developed applications.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
+ Analyze and evaluate IT systems and processes to identify areas for improvement.
+ Design and implement efficient IT solutions to meet business requirements in collaboration with technical teams.
+ Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document system requirements.
+ Perform system testing and validation procedures.
+ Provide technical support and training to end-users.
+ Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
+ Maintain and update system documentation.
+ Ensure data security and compliance with company policies.
+ Build and support low code solutions.
Required Qualifications:
+ Hands on experience developing or supporting solutions using Microsoft tools (.Net, SQL, Power Platform).
+ Proficient communication and facilitation skills with solid ability to convey business and technical information to a diverse audience.
+ Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to engage difficulties with persistence.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience working with agile methodologies
+ Experience with Azure Cloud and Azure DevOps
+ Familiarity with integration patterns (API, Messaging)
+ Familiarity with (any of these) ERP (SAP), CRM (Salesforce), Procurement systems (GEP), HCM (Workday) is considered a plus
