Application Engineer

We are seeking an Application Engineer to support the following brand:

​Key Responsibilities:

Provide customer with assistance for product selection for unique, special, or technical applications.Provide application Installation and Trouble Shooting support (technical and hands-on)Must establish and maintain excellent relationships with internal/external customers.Provides project coordination and communication.Makes judgments on the value of the information being analyzed, uses experience to provide the customer with the best possible solution.Uses common process management tools and methodsInteracts with the sales team and customer to translate customer specifications into product selections that meet customer and Regal Rexnord business needsConducts product tear-down analysis and populates data for root cause identification, corrective action forms and failure analysisTakes responsibility for and complete key tasks on a project-by-project basis and drive to meet deadlines ensuring project successResolve challenges related to the interpretation of drawings, design tolerances, quality and material requirementsProduct training and familiarization, content development and deliveryWorks closely with manufacturing, inspection and assembly to problem solve issuesPerforms reverse engineering of competitor productsCustomer request queue management and response time expectations.Some travel; training and trade show support.

Required Education / Experience / Skills:

Bachelor's degree in business, a technical discipline, or equivalent years of experience preferably in the Industrial manufacturing settingMinimum of 3 years relevant experienceProficient in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, emphasizing the ability to understand complex diagrams and blueprintsExceptional written and verbal communication skills.Understanding of Engineering BOMs and drawings preferredRequires ability to read and interpret design prints as well as customer specifications.SAP and Salesforce experience preferred.Flexibility with work hours to maintain a minimal backlog.Travel: 10-20%. requiredAbility to lift up to 35lbs
