Application Engineer Job Description Seeking an Application engineer to work with the Renesas Memory Interface Validation and Apps team on state-of-the-art products such as RCD and data buffers. + Support product development life cycle from conception to production release. This involves interfacing with multiple functional teams including Design Engineering, Test Engineering, Quality Assurance, and other engineering groups. + Develop and execute Validation and Characterization test plans and specifications. + Design and debug hardware and software for lab validation and qualification purposes. + Perform system level testing to measure various device parameters in the lab for design verification, characterization, correlation, and debugging. + Analyze measurement results and correlate the measurements between ATE and bench. + Write/modify bios code for server board Qualifications + Knowledgeable in post-Silicon validation, debug, and applications. + Strong knowledge of Computer Architecture. + Deep understanding in Silicon electrical characterization, particularly in high-speed signal measurement, analysis, and debug. + Skilled in the use of lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, pattern generators, ATE, Logic Analyzers. + Skilled in test automation development using Python. + Familiarity with DIMM RCD, Data Buffer and I2C and I3C devices is a plus. + Project management skills desired. + Familiar with computer system architecture, especially for Intel x86 server system. + Strong experience in Ansi-C programming is preferred. **Education** + Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related. + Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related, with 5+ years of relevant experience.
