Application Engineer - Danfoss Industrial Refrigeration (IRF)
Job Description

Then you could be the new Application Engineer we are looking for in Danfoss Industrial Refrigeration (IRF). We are a team of competent and dedicated professionals ensuring technical development and providing support to a strong and growing business unit in a market where the environment, product safety, and energy efficiency are key drivers.

 

You will report to the Director of Technical Support and work out of our office in Kolding.

Job Responsibilities

Your mission will be to provide in-depth product and application logic descriptions to software developers. In Danfoss parlance, application is how and where our products are used in refrigeration systems. Together with Product Engineering, you will pursue and coordinate product data activities. You will be the key player we rely on to contribute to driving and conducting software tests. With your technical acumen and sound knowledge, you will also act as a selection tool (Coolselector2) trainer and communicator with both internal and external stakeholders. Other areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to:

Ensuring the accuracy of product data management. Maintaining documentation. Performing valve sizing and selection support for sales and customers.

Background & Skills

You have at least a bachelor’s degree in engineering and a strong knowledge in refrigeration and/or process technology focused on thermodynamics. Refrigeration specifics can be taught on the job. Experience in software programming is a big plus. In either case, you generally have a sound understanding of the interplay between different key functions in an industrial production organization (engineering, sales, marketing, R&D, etc.). You have a customer-centric mindset and are a self-starter with a strong ability to move things forward. You are a strong team player across cultures and disciplines, and you can manage multiple tasks. Finally, you can demonstrate excellent communication skills, and you are fluent in written and spoken English.
