Job Summary:

Flowserve is looking for a salesperson with technical and commercial experience in the office (Applications Engineer). In this role, you will develop solutions for customers and partners for industrial and special applications. 

You will act as a product specialist in a team and work closely with the sales, development and other specialist departments on site.

Responsibilities:

- Performs tasks associated with new opportunities to enhance assigned products and reduce product cost and/or planned delivery times

- Understands and properly interprets customer requirements to present/develop drawings to support the technical proposal.

- Applies Flowserve's established global and local standards for selection, performance and pricing to obtain the best solutions

- Identifies the correct Flowserve solution to meet customer requirements for standard products

- Provides assistance/support to the sales group at the customer site to replace or exchange seals.

- Assists in the Continuous Improvement (CI) effort

- Support for defined clientele in the office

- Evaluation of requests, generation of solution proposals

- Costing, if necessary, in cooperation with the relevant departments

- Technical and commercial preparation of offers

- Acceptance, review and preparation of orders (complete order)

- And any other assigned tasks

 Requirements:

- Experience as an applications engineer or similar role, as an internal sales representative or engineer.  

- Good communication skills

- Strong technical acumen and analytical thinking.

- Knowledge of SAP Experience in dealing with common MS Office applications.

- Bachelor's or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field and/or 2 years of relevant experience.
