We are seeking a skilled and motivated Application Engineer to join our Water business, focusing on hydronic heating and potable water products. The Application Engineer will play a critical role in bridging the gap between customers, product development teams, and external certification authorities to ensure our products meet application needs and regulatory standards. This position requires both technical expertise and excellent communication skills to propose enhancements, resolve field issues, and ensure product success in real-world applications.
**JOB DUTIES:**
+ Meet with customers to understand their needs and the specific applications of our products and systems
+ Assist in the development of new products and systems by translating customer and application needs into high-level system/product specifications
+ Provide technical support to internal teams, including R&D, sales, and marketing, ensuring product designs align with customer requirements and market trends
+ Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to internal teams, customers, and external stakeholders
+ Collaborate with external agencies and certification authorities to ensure compliance with product/system standards and certifications
+ Resolve technical issues at customer sites, offering hands-on troubleshooting and support
+ Propose and implement technical improvements to existing products and systems based on customer feedback and market needs
+ Suggest and validate enhancements to products and systems through field trials and performance testing
+ Prepare technical documentation, including user manuals, guidelines, and troubleshooting guides
+ Analyze market trends and emerging technologies to inform future product innovations
+ Support internal teams by providing training and technical expertise for product applications and installation practices
**YOU MUST HAVE:**
+ 5+ years of proven experience in the application and development of water & hydronic heating systems and products (Ex: Potable/Drinking water solutions, Hydronic heating & zoning, or sensing)
+ Working experience building relationships and working with regulatory bodies and industry certifications (e.g., ANSI, NSF, UL)
+ Deep understanding of product standards, certifications, and regulatory requirements in the water industry
**WE VALUE:**
+ Working knowledge in CAD and simulation software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) to support product/system design and analysis
+ System engineering experience – designing and implementing custom solutions to address custom problems
+ Willingness to meet with customers to assist in understanding customer requirements, present solutions and/or attend trade shows as needed
+ Familiarity with IoT-enabled water systems and knowledge of energy efficiency standards (e.g., ENERGY STAR) and green building initiatives like LEED
+ Ability to complete demanding assignments using advanced engineering and scientific methods
+ The capability to influence cross-functional teams at a variety of levels and collaborate effectively to deliver optimal solutions
+ Effective problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to resolving field issues
+ Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex technical concepts to a range of audiences
+ Experience managing multiple projects and prioritizing them based on customer and business needs
