Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a professional, motivated, and detailed student for our Application Engineering Intern position located in Boerne, Texas. As an Application Engineering Intern you will help our customers apply SEL relays to protect the electrical power grid. As an Application Engineering Intern in S&CS, a typical day might include the following:
Learning about power systems, power system faults, and SEL relays.
Providing Technical support on SEL relays through phone/email.
Teaching classes and demonstrating how SEL relays work to customers.
Publishing support videos, application guides, software tools and/or conference papers.
Participating in SEL marketing and sales activities, webinars, industry technical meetings, and conferences.
This job might be for you if you:
Are a current student pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis in power systems with two years of undergraduate experience in related field.
Are able to work part time during the school year and full time during the summer.
Are self-motivated/a self-starter.
Have strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
Are able to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
Are able to work cooperatively in a team environment.

Pay Range Data
($17.00 - $26.50 per hour)* Our intern pay is determined based on the internship role (the work you would be doing) and your year in school (when you plan to graduate). Talk to your recruiter if you are curious about the rate for your year in school.
