What success looks like in this role:

·       Technical lead transforming large enterprise scale platforms across multiple industries from legacy implementation to modern architecture and tech stack

·       Leading a technical team in building new, innovative solutions and transforming existing applications to more modern platforms

·       Ensure we build quality infrastructure solutions that meet the requirements and advises clients’ senior technical leaders up to ‘C’ level on Unisys Solution offerings, strategy, designs, specific technologies, implementation approaches and alternatives / tradeoffs.

o   Identifies opportunities for new or follow-on business and assists in creating change orders.

o   Leads advisory services, strategic planning activities and business case development within the assigned Unisys portfolio areas and infrastructure disciplines such as application / storage platforms, databases, networks, security, and IT processes / operations / governance Works within and across practices and organizations to design leading-edge technology or application solutions that result in profitable revenue growth for Unisys.

·       Demonstrates extensive knowledge of industry, technology and strategy trends and uses this knowledge to generate profitable revenue growth for Unisys.

·       Builds relationships with product development organizations and is recognized by these organizations as a key product champion who adds value through exposure to client situations.

·       Advises, analyses, researches and leads delivery of complex integrated solutions for an entire enterprise. Interfaces extensively with the client’s senior management team (e.g., the IT Directors) on business, systems architectural, and technical issues. Provides mentoring and team leadership to other team members

·       Leads the Integration of complex solutions into new or existing client environments.

·       Uses advanced diagnostic analytical and design capabilities.

·       Ensures that the best solution is provided to the customer (e.g., completes solution integrity engineering and development attributes.)

·       Leads the Unisys team and client teams on transformational journeys for building overarching microservice, PaaS, and/or serverless architectures with a focus on DevSecOps integration

·       Ensure there is a backlog of stories centred on continuous modernization of the large scale applications in scope.

·       Coordinate with project managers, business analysts, developers, operations teams to understand platform requirements, the system & data, and evangelize ways to drive quality and value to the client stakeholders

·       Provide training and coaching as needed to teams modernizing and transforming applications. 

·       Leads release planning preparation and event facilitation

·       Build high-performing teams across development, quality assurance, and infrastructure.

·       Share best practices for design & development.

·       Drive the team’s triaging capability by taking on challenging problems not understood by front-line support teams

·       Continuously review the technology landscape and advise clients on emerging technology solutions to drive differentiation in our services value proposition

·       Provides technical oversight for technical estimates created with standards tools, portfolio Work Breakdown Structures, statements of work and industry standard estimating techniques

·       Provides technical leadership for pre-sales activities with existing and new clients
