Application Netcom Engineer

As a Network Communication & Diagnostic Engineer in Electrical System team at Ford, you will be responsible for defining the in-vehicle network infrastructure, performing design review, executing Design Verification test, evaluating Design Verification defects, and ensuring closure of issues per Ford engineering process requirement.

Bachelor/ master’s degree in electrical engineering, automotive engineering, telecommunication engineering or related filed.  3+ years of experience in EE architecture design/ designing in-vehicle networking /automotive ECU diagnostic application development. Demonstrated experience in Network Communication & Diagnostic Design: CAN-FD, CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet, Unified Diagnostic Services. Knowledge of Vector tools (e.g. CANalyzer, CANoe, PREEvision).  Application experience with AUTOSAR is a plus. Excellent teamwork and communication & presentation skills in English. Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks. Availability to business trip. Develop program specific CAN database file. Guide downstream teams with focus on Network Management, and Gateway Functions. Develop program specific vehicle configuration file.  Cascade requirement to develop hardware and low-level layers of software, regarding the defined Ford vehicle lines. Execute technical and design review with Tier1/2 and Ford internal stakeholders to ensure that the component/ system design is compliant with Ford Network Communication and Diagnostic guidelines.  Provide clarification of fault cases and support for the development of corrective actions regarding networking failures during Design Verification phase and vehicle line launch phase.
