We are interested in hiring an Application Reliability Operations, Vice President as a part of our global Middle Office Team. A full understanding of the transaction /trading system architecture. Communicate with business to understand the changing needs of the client. Hands on skills to troubleshoot and automate via tools including but not limited to shell scripts/power shell/python or RPA Blue Prism .
The below is what we are looking for but you may not have it all, we will expect you to learn and bridge the gaps of which we have a great learning platform called Degreed, with a wide range of learning materials and sources for you. What you will be responsible for
Provide and manage support across regions for Middle Office services applications.Analyze daily task for process improvement and automation using Power shell and/or Python to replace manual tasks and improve processes.Evaluate the gaps in reporting issues with deployments and business teams to resolve and fix issues.Work with internal business and development on ad-hoc request.Work with internal and external auditors on finalizing the processes. Make sure team follows those processes.Participate in Command Center calls that impacts application availability or has business impacts.Ensure key stakeholders are communicated on time.Participate with business to understand their requirements.Weekend on call expected on rotation basis – on need basis.Understand technical concepts and communicate them easily to individuals with varied backgrounds and skill levels.Excellent problem-solving skills and a self-directed team player.Build and maintain strong relationships across internal customers to build the requirements and framework.Be passionate about driving change through an organization Never accept what we have is good enough, always look through analysis and monitoring of our estate to protect our assets.What we value
BS/MS degree with 10+ years’ experience.Experience and desire to work in a fast paced agile environment.Excellent verbal, written and analytical skills.Prior experience in investment banking or in a FinTech role.Prior experience in Microsoft SQL, Oracle, UNIX, MQ and Java required.Prior experience in cloud technologies.Prior experience with monitoring tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana is required.You do have proven experience working in an environment that has complicated and difficult problems to solve.Understand the need for Audit compliance and make sure team follows procedures.Why this role is important to us
