Division Specific InformationThe Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry business develops and manufactures innovative instruments, consumables, and software solutions for customers in the analytical sciences and scientific research. We play a crucial role in various scientific fields, including chemistry, pharmaceuticals, forensics, environmental analysis, and biochemistry, among others.
How will you make an impact?
The Application Scientist position for Ion Chromatography, Trace Elemental Analysis, and Discrete Analyzers in the Middle East & Africa offers chances to apply scientific expertise using chromatography and mass spectrometry for resolving analytical challenges.
What will you do?
Conduct product demonstrations to customers showcasing the accurate use, product features, functionality, application of instruments and software, and standard methodologies. Understand customer’s motivation, success criteria, and difficulties. Translate information using the demo process and devise a technically robust strategy to demonstrate analytical confidence and proof of concept.Provide virtual, remote, or onsite product training for customers on instrument and software use.Resolve and/or advance customer issues & complaints.Deliver technical presentations to highlight the capabilities and benefits of our solutions for various applications. Communicate sophisticated scientific concepts to diverse audiences effectively.Work cross-functionally with internal teams, including marketing and sales, to support the strategic execution of the customer training process.Stay informed about the latest scientific literature, methodologies, and regulatory requirements. Act as a trusted expert to our customers to increase happiness and dedication, contributing to overall business success. Provide scientific support and counsel to internal teams and customers and identify improvement opportunities.How will you get here?
A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related scientific field and/or equivalent work experience.2-3 years of hands-on technical experience with chromatography and mass spectrometry instruments, software, data analysis, and techniques.Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesAbility to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet strict deadlines.Outstanding teamwork and collaboration skills to foster creativity and contribute to the team's success.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide mentorship on product usage and optimization.Persuasive communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex scientific concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in local language and English.This position may require up to 75% travel.Our Mission is to enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer.
