Danfoss is looking for an Application Software Engineer in the Customized Software Solutions team for the development of embedded control systems.
Danfoss Power Solutions “Software” located in Osasco, Sao Paulo (Brazil) is searching for a new team member. This position has the scope of design, develop, and support customized software solutions in the agriculture, construction and material handling off-highway mobile markets creating SW applications using Danfoss Power Solutions programmable devices.
Job ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
Contribute to all phases of development including requirement capturing, specification development, design, software development and validation/verification. Graphical Programming languages (such as Danfoss PLUS+1 GUIDE, LabVIEW, Simulink, …), occasionally C/C++, IEC61131-3 and PLC Languages Design and implement vehicle serial communication protocols such as CAN, J1939, or CANopen Participate in global cross functional project teams Provide maintenance and support for existing customized applications Facilitate development of specifications with internal and external customers Take part in machine start-ups at customer sites Participate in design reviews, FMEAs, Safety Analysis and Hazard and Risk Assessments Responsible for integrating Danfoss’ electro-hydraulic and electronic components into complete vehicle control systems Background & SkillsAt Danfoss, we believe that a diverse and inclusive workplace fosters creativity, innovation, and a broader perspective in decision-making. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within Mechatronic, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or similar Experience in software development for mobile control systems Good experience in Graphical Programming languages and C/C++; knowledge of Danfoss PLUS+1 toolchain is a big plus; Knowledge of Python and IEC61131-3 programming languages is also a plus Good knowledge of software processes, design and test practices, Versioning Control Systems and SW lifecycle management Experience in CAN-bus communication and protocols, data analysis and troubleshooting Fluent in English written and spoken Strait engineering approach with specialist knowledge within the specific area Open-minded and good at interacting with others, across borders and cultures This position includes travelling up to 10% Danfoss – Engineering TomorrowAt Danfoss, we are engineering solutions that allow the world to use resources in smarter ways - driving the sustainable transformation of tomorrow.
