Our Opening and Your ResponsibilitiesReports to: Senior Application SpecialistKey Purpose of the Role: Pre- and post-sales application support for laboratory solutions in local marketIntegral with sales and service team to deliver the highest level of customer experience and high value solution developmentFollow up on technical leads, fast response towards fulfilling customers’ enquiriesProvide sound consultation on MT’s product solution and application to prospects and customersWorkflow development and support (including onsite requirements gathering, process definition and working directly with users to point of delivering a solution to implementation status)Coordinate and perform advanced customer trainingManage and coordinate cross-SBU integration projectsProactively engaged and involved in the laboratory management of MT's laboratoryStay current with laboratoryStrategic Outcome:Learn and apply product application, segment specified knowledge and regulatory compliance standards. Successful in penetrating into targeted segments, completing assigned application support responsibilities; regular updating of application support tools and reports. Assisting sales team to meet sales targets and agreed key performance indicators.Combine technical knowledge with sales skills to articulate technology and product positioning to both the business and technical users and ensure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the application support and sales process.Key Responsibilities & Desired Outcomes:1. Technical Advisory and Solution AdvocateProvide technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team. Becoming a competent key technical advisor and product advocate for MT productsCommunicate regulatory compliance requirement and applications effectively, demonstrating MT’s market leadership and expertise in the relevant fieldsResponsible for representing the solution to customers and to engage customers in the field with events such as product trainings, conferences, seminars and coursesDevelop customer's staff by providing technical information and trainingPerform testing and data analysis of customers' samples/materials and prepare results and reports for customers2. Service Standards and Customer Relationship ManagementResponsible for pre-sales groundwork in order to understand customers' actual needs and requirementsDetermine improvements by analysing cost-benefit ratios of equipment, supplies, or service applications in customer environment; or proposing changes in equipment, processes, or use of equipment or servicesGain customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operational improvementsAdhere to customers' site operating procedures, rules and health, safety and environment regulationsWhat You Need to SucceedMandatory:Degree in Science, major in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry and/or related field from a reputable UniversityAt least 2-3 years working experience in a lab, application support and/or laboratory environmentKnow how about lab processes, i.e., how to plan and create an experiment/analysis, administrative work, how to create lab reports, how to work under Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)Instrumentation/laboratory technical experience would be preferredIndependent with good communication, analytical and presentation skillsPossess own transport with a valid driving licenseWilling to be based in Petaling Jaya (PJ33) main officeWilling to travel within and not limited to Central region Malaysia as and when requiredPreferred:First-hand experience and/or understanding of laboratory analytical instruments, i.e., titration, Karl Fischer titration, density meter, refractometer, melting point, dropping point, spectrophotometer UV Vis, differential scanning calorimetry, thermo-optical analysis, thermo-gravimetric analysis, thermo-mechanical analysis and dynamic-mechanical analysisIdeally working experience in a regulated laboratory, i.e., data integrity, guidelines of MPRA, MHRA, FDA and EUOur Offer to YouStable employment conditions based on the contract of employment1.5 months contractual bonusMedical care with the dental packageLife insuranceAbout Mettler ToledoMETTLER TOLEDO is a global leader in precision instruments and services.
