The Application Specialist position, based in Bucharest, reports to the Applications Team Lead, and is part of a whither team of Applications Specialist within the Service & Customer Support department of Roche Diagnostics Division in Romania. 

The Opportunity:


As an Application Specialist you will be responsible for providing field technical applications support to the Centralized Diagnostics and Point-of-Care Solutions (CPS) business area. You will offer application and software support for the assigned portfolio, while working closely with the sales and service field teams, always observing Roche Global application standards. Your key responsibilities are, but not limited to:

Provide timely, reliable and effective application specialist technical and scientific product troubleshooting support and assistance to customers in line with SLA requirements, within scope of authority and within budgetary guidelines. Escalate complex application challenges to relevant personnel in accordance with procedures for swift resolution.

Manage effectively of daily task and job include reagent task issue activities, pending task, scheduling training, application / assay software upgrade and perform routine visit based on customer priority. 

Maintain a high level of customer engagement throughout on site visits with regular updates, feedback and on-the-job training to customers. Provide technical and scientific application insights to customers to market Roche and its products and services in order to contribute to business development for assigned products.

Plan & facilitate customer presentations, training and materials on laboratory applications (beginners and advanced) for potential new and existing customers to develop their skills & capabilities.

Provide relevant business areas with technical or scientific application advice & support on relevant project & business activities. 

Provide timely market research feedback to marketing and sales teams in accordance with business requirements and input relevant information and administration on required report management systems.

Adhere to instrument manufacturing and operations standards, relevant SOPs and best practice guidelines relating to all application requirements, product bulletins and any new AS or quality SOPs.

Escalates cases to Global team and correctly mark it as PRI/PSI or not depending on the case. Performs corrective visits to sites as part of case escalation.

Constantly checks for notifications and translates them. Ensure clients are notified in a timely manner and that all questions are answered accurately.

Who you are:
 

You hold a University degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Medical Engineering or related.

You have a minimum of 2 years of work experience in a medical, technical environment as a Technician or Laboratory Scientist, with experience in good laboratory practice and accreditation requirements. You possess practical and theoretical knowledge in areas such as chemistry, immunology, coagulation, urinalysis, and hospital point of care, and can interpret results.

You have a strong customer orientation, focused on customer experience, with the ability to empathize with and prioritize customer needs. You can manage multiple tasks to ensure timely and high-quality outcomes.

You are a team player with a collaborative mindset and excellent interpersonal skills, able to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

You demonstrate the ability to perform under pressure with attention to detail.

With an agile learning mindset, you continuously seek new knowledge and skills, adapt autonomously to changing circumstances, and embrace challenges as opportunities to grow. 

You are proficient in Romanian and English, both written and spoken, and can communicate effectively and confidently to diverse audiences.

Note: This is a field-based position located in Bucharest, responsible for covering the Southern region of Romania. Candidates should have the ability to travel, with Bucharest being the preferred location.
