Job Summary
For the Bakery team as part of Bakery & Bars application team, Brabrand, we are seeking an Application Specialist to assist us in servicing our external and internal customers. You will be part of the Bakery and Bars team based in Brabrand, Denmark - with an excellent category team and global knowledge sharing allowing us to challenge what’s possible and what will be the preferred Bakery solutions in the future.Main Responsibilities:
Servicing our European; African, GCC and Turkey-based customers within the Bakery solutionsExecution of customer-related tasks in close collaboration with colleagues in the group and across the entire organizationDesigning, executing and following up on projects, trials both internally and at customers’ facilities when required Seeking and developing new application solutions/concepts for the industry in line with the strategic objectives, that’s supporting market trends and new product launchesTraining customers and colleagues in application and related processesSupporting R&D projects and patentsBuilding a strong network with our key internal stakeholders and external relations with customersParticipation in our knowledge sharing activities across IFFEssential qualifications:
Relevant educational background (preferred B.Sc. and above level) combined with several years working experience from the baking/Improver IndustryThe ideal candidate has a strong background with knowledge in yeast raised and sweet bakery applicationsExperience in Ingredients formulation of solutions for Improver houses/baking Industry.A thorough understanding of nutrition, general food chemistry (fats/crystallization) and ingredients (emulsifiers, hydrocolloids and enzymes)Comprehensive technical insights (also hands-on) coupled with a good commercial sensePractical experience in working with methodologies and analytical techniquesA positive attitude combined with a curious and creative mindsetStrong TeamplayerSelf-driven, takes responsibility, acts proactively and is good in organizing own work tasks and with a strong personal drive to push tasks forwardStructured working style – and acceptance of the trial results has not ended until the documentation is completed, and knowledge learnt has been sharedMotivated and energized by interacting with and teaching and training customers and colleaguesReadiness for working in a busy environment where things and priorities are changing fastCustomer visits are part of the job, hence readiness for international travel (30-40 working days per year) across Europe and AMET regionWorking well with people of different backgrounds and shows flexibility when requiredEnglish on a professional levelGood IT skills requiredWe are a global leader in taste, scent, and nutrition, offering our customers a broader range of natural solutions and accelerating our growth strategy.
