Application Support and Maintenance Head

MediCard Phils., Inc. is one of the country's leading HMO and the only HMO founded and run by Doctors. Since its inception, the concept of service-oriented total health care has been the molding ideal of MediCard.  The competition is vast, and the benefits being offered by the competitors are tempting.  However, MEDICard has taken the lead in providing innovative and productive ideas that cut down the cost of health maintenance without compromising its quality.

MediCard now boasts of more than half a million members and over 54,000 accredited doctors in over 1,000 hospitals and clinics nationwide. It also operates 16 MediCard free-standing clinics that provide services at par with those offered by hospitals minus the confinement.

MediCard is currently looking for assertive, dynamic and energetic individuals to fill up the following vacancy:

Leads teams in the design, development, implementation, optimization, maintenance, and troubleshooting of MediCard’s application programs.
Ensures application development projects are delivered on time and within budget while meeting quality standards and business objectives.

Oversees application support to ensure timely resolution of reported incidents in accordance with service level agreements, implements solutions to prevent the recurrence of identified problems, and upholds change management procedures.

Application Development
Leads team in understanding and documenting business requirements requiring automation / application programs to drive customer experience or process efficiencies.  Sets priorities and communicates direction / progress.
Oversees, creates and implements deployment of application design based on business / functional requirements and demonstrate understanding of the data architecture and reporting/analytics requirements
Manages and executes against project plans and deliver commitments within a professional, high paced engineering environment working with the project or transformation office to ensure alignment and collaboration on project objectives, scope, budget, schedule, and quality
Manages the development lifecycle of application programs
Researches new technologies to strengthen the organization
Plans, directs and coordinates the actions of the application development team including working with vendors to facilitate delivery
Responsible for technology delivery
Plans and executes regular upskilling of team members for supported applications
Application Support
Responsible for all operational metrics and support for MediCard’s application programs
Determines problems that users have with an application, then design and develop solutions to those issues.
Reviews the reports of bugs or problems, create a plan to address those issues
Adherence to planned timelines, budget, and functional specifications in the delivery of application programs.Application downtime
Cost savings and productivity gains from application programs
Customer experience measures from front-facing customer app (e.g. MediCard Go App)
Resolution of application incidents and problems within service level agreements.
