Application Support Specialist
Description Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Application Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for resolving technical issues related to internal and external business applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot problems, manage incidents, and ensure software systems function efficiently for end users. Key Responsibilities: + Provide Level 1 and 2 support for business-critical applications, responding to and resolving user-reported issues in a timely manner. + Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve technical problems via phone, email, and support ticketing systems. + Work closely with software developers, system administrators, and business analysts to escalate and resolve complex issues. + Maintain system documentation, including user guides, troubleshooting procedures, and configuration changes. + Monitor application performance and usage to identify areas for improvement. + Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and patches for supported applications. + Train end users and provide ongoing technical support and education as needed. + Log and track incidents, changes, and problem tickets using a ticketing system (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Zendesk). + Collaborate with QA and development teams for testing and deployment of new features and fixes. Requirements Qualifications: + Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience). + 2+ years of experience in application support, technical support, or help desk role. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. + Familiarity with ITSM ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira). + Understanding of relational databases (e.g., SQL) and ability to run queries is a plus. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. + Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment. + Experience supporting SaaS platforms, ERP systems, or custom-built applications is preferred. Preferred Skills: + Knowledge of application integrations and APIs. + Familiarity with scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation is a plus. + Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
