Application System Analyst Associate or Analyst or Senior Analyst | Prelude/Grand Central

CentraCare is a comprehensive healthcare system based in central Minnesota, providing a wide range of medical services to the community. CentraCare is looking for a hardworking individual to join our Epic Prelude/Grand Central Team as an Epic Prelude/Grand Central Application System Analyst Associate or Analyst. The successful candidate will be hired into an Application System Analyst Associate or Application System Analyst position depending on qualifications.

Prelude or in common terminology, Registration, is the gathering of patient demographic information. As an Application System Specialist/Analyst, you will complete basic Epic functions that include configuring Navigators to collect data related to patient, guarantor, and insurance information. Along with that you will build patient work queues for follow-up, reports, troubleshoot issues, complete new department build, real-time eligibility, financial assistance, and the collection of documents.

Grand Central is a facility’s patient flow tool that may include Transfer center and bed planning to environmental services. It can also be as simple as the admission, transfer, and discharge of a patient.  As an Application System Specialist/Analyst you will manage build around some of these modules and look to enhance the product to streamline workflows for end users.

You will find success in this role if you have experience or knowledge in registration, patient flow activities (admission, transfer, discharges), and other hospital workflows for inpatient and/or outpatient settings.

Schedule:

Full time | 80 hours every 2 weeks | Remote with need to be on-site periodically Day shift | Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm Occasional nights and weekends and after hours on-call as needed

Pay and Benefits:

Qualifications:

Associate's degree in computer science or similar field OR 2 years of work experience required Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar field preferred 2 years of clinical operational or related application experience or current  Previous experience in information technology and/or software preferred Minimum of 2 years of build experience within responsible software applications.  Software Application/module certification or proficiency in a minimum of 1 software application or system and/or in good standing with the software vendor upon hire Epic Certification Core Software application certification or proficiency required within 6 months of hire

Department Info:

The IS Patient Access Systems team is responsible for knowledge of assigned system software. They work with subject matter experts and end users to tailor the system to fit the organization's needs. They routinely perform analysis of workflows, data collection, and other technical issues associated with the use of the application software. And are responsible for design, build, testing and maintaining those solutions. The department ensures standards of practice for existing and planned systems remain compatible within IT Infrastructure and other software applications.  Also, they implement and abide by Customer Service Standards.
