SUMMARY OF DUTIES

This position is responsible for management, implementation, administration and training of specific Application Systems projects and functions worldwide.

Note: During the 90-day period following the employee’s hire, the employee is classified as a new employee; both Merit and the employee should use this period to evaluate the employee’s skills, qualifications, and fit for the position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED

1.    Assesses and plans system needs for one or more of the following departments:

•    Regulatory
•    Accounting
•    Human Resources
•    Customer Service
•    Sales
•    Marketing
•    Engineering
•    R&D
•    Purchasing    •    Planning
•    WIP
•    Inventory
•    Logistics
2.    Prepares reports, data miners and performs data analysis.
3.    Trains assigned teams on new Merit systems.
4.    Responsible for implementing department systems at new Merit sites.
5.    Assists with creating and managing training tools and reference materials.
6.    Troubleshoots and manages incidents for Merit systems.
7.    Performs basic configuration and updating of applications.
8.    Performs other related duties and tasks as required.

SUMMARY OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

•    Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business or related field.
 •    Five years of system design, analysis and training, preferably in the department assignment.
•    Two years of project management experience. 
•    Ability to train others on complicated computerized systems.
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•    Strongly prefer a general knowledge of the medical device industry.
•    Ability to work with others effectively to analyze problems and implement solutions.
•    Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
•    Excellent analytical skills and the ability to solve problems.
•    Demonstrated time management skills.
•    Ability to work as a team member.
•    Demonstrated computer skills with spreadsheets, word processing, database and other applicable software programs.

COMMENTS

Infectious Control Risk Category III:

The risk category explains whether or not employees are likely to come into contact with blood or body fluids while performing their jobs.  Risk category III states employment and procedures that do not require exposure.
