Job Description

This Applications Developer III (Power Platforms) within GEO-IS Solutions department works with a team of developers who support our customers and district operations.  Our department enables new capabilities for our districts and operations through deploying the following solutions: 

Applications

API Integration 

Data Insights 

Automation 

Successful candidates must understand or be able to translate complex business requirements into scalable and secure solutions leveraging Microsoft Power Platforms with a strong focus on data integration from Microsoft Fabric.  A successful Application Developer will excel at the following: 

Expert in Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse while working closely with data engineers and solutions architects to ensure seamless data sourcing and application development 

Oversee the design, develop and maintain resilient applications 

Implement Cybersecurity and Corporate IS development processes 

Collaborate with development team and business stakeholders 

Major Duties and Responsibilities 

Design, develop and maintain Power Apps solutions integrated with Microsoft Fabric data sources. 

Implement Power Automate workflows for process automation and systems integration.  

Collaborate with data engineering team to connect and consume structured and unstructured data from Microsoft Fabric into Power Platform applications.  

Provide technical leadership and support for projects throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC)    

Translate business requirements into technical solutions 

Ensure solutions are scalable, secure and optimized for performance 

Identify risks and upholds enterprise cyber security requirements and development guidelines 

Research, evaluate and implement new tools and technologies that can improve development teams’ capabilities and outcomes.  

Demonstrate and share their expertise in proven development patterns and standards through coaching and facilitating training 

Support agile practices and maintain current work management systems 

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to associate developers 

Conduct code reviews and ensure solutions are put through end-to-end testing  

Develop and maintain technical documentation  

Create, collaborate and promote best practices within the team and department 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications 

Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field 

5+ years of experience in Power Platform development, including Power Apps and Power Automate 

Strong experience integrating Power Platform applications with Microsoft Fabric and other cloud-based data sources (for example, Synapse, Azure Data Lake, SQL) 

Experience in custom connectors, APIs, and managing integrations with enterprise systems 

Experience with Agile software development methodologies 

Work effectively with a cross-functional virtual development team 

Self-starter with customer service-oriented attitude, and excellent time management 

Desired Qualifications 

Microsoft Power Platform certifications (PL-200 / PL-400 / PL-900) 

Applicable Azure/Power Platform component certifications 

Proven ability to lead and collaborate effectively with cross-functional development teams, including stakeholders and architects 

Proven track record in automating complex tasks and workflows, with experience in designing and implementing applications. 

Experience with UI/UX concepts and software (for example, Figma)

This position must be based out of one of our offices located in

United States - Atlanta - GA, Detroit - MI, Edison - NJ, Laredo - TX 

Mexico - Nueva Laredo, Monterrey

Position is full time (40 hours per week) Monday through Friday (in office). We are an office business attire company.
